Terms of Service | Babil Abroad

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using the Babil Abroad platform ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Babil Abroad Inc.

2. Description of Service

Babil Abroad provides an AI-assisted admissions management platform that enables students to discover, apply to, and track applications to universities worldwide. The platform also provides tools for educational counsellors, agencies, and schools to manage student portfolios and application workflows.

Babil Abroad acts as a facilitator between applicants and institutions. We do not guarantee admission to any programme. Admission decisions rest solely with the respective institutions.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years of age to create an account. Users under 18 must have parental or guardian consent. By using the Service you represent that you meet these requirements.

4. Account Registration

You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised access to your account
You may not create accounts for others without their explicit consent
One account per individual; multiple registrations may result in suspension

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information in any application
Upload documents that are forged, altered, or belong to another person
Use the platform to facilitate academic fraud (essay writing services, proxy applications)
Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or copy platform content or data
Interfere with platform security or other users' accounts
Use the Service for any unlawful purpose

Violation of these terms may result in immediate account suspension and, where applicable, notification to relevant institutions and authorities.

6. Application Accuracy & Responsibility

You are solely responsible for the accuracy and completeness of all information submitted through the platform. Babil Abroad will submit applications as instructed but bears no liability for rejections resulting from inaccurate, incomplete, or late submissions. You should review all application materials before authorising submission.

7. Fees & Payments

Core platform features are provided free of charge to students. Premium services, where offered, will be clearly priced before purchase. Application fees charged by universities are separate and payable directly to those institutions unless otherwise stated.

Refund eligibility for any paid Babil Abroad service is governed by our Distance Sales Agreement, which forms part of these Terms.

8. Intellectual Property

All platform content, branding, software, and AI models are owned by or licensed to Babil Abroad Inc. You retain ownership of documents you upload. By uploading documents you grant us a limited licence to process and transmit them solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

9. AI-Generated Content

The platform uses artificial intelligence to generate suggestions, match scores, and draft content (e.g. SOP drafts). AI-generated content is provided for guidance only. You must review and take responsibility for any content submitted in your name. Babil Abroad makes no warranty as to the accuracy of AI outputs.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Babil Abroad shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service, including but not limited to lost opportunities, application rejections, or visa refusals. Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Termination

You may close your account at any time by contacting support@babilabroad.com. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms, with or without prior notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately; data retention is governed by our Privacy Policy.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes shall first be referred to good-faith negotiation and, if unresolved, to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. Users in Turkey have additional rights under Turkish consumer protection legislation.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you by email and in-platform notification at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
